Authentication

Set up credentials and authorization for this browser session before debugging the request.

  1. Create an API key in OpenAI Platform with the least privilege required for the task.

  2. Keep it only in the caller-local OPENAI_API_KEY environment variable.

  3. Generate a redacted preview with a read endpoint before executing a request.

  1. Sign in as an Organization Owner and open Admin Keys in OpenAI Platform.

  2. Create an Admin API key dedicated to organization administration and store it securely immediately.

  3. Set OPENAI_ADMIN_API_KEY only in your local environment. Its elevated access means it must never appear in code, logs, examples, or Hub.
